چکیده

We prove that the bulk eigenvectors of sparse random matrices, i.e. the adjacency matrices of ErdősRényi graphs or random regular graphs, are asymptotically jointly normal, provided the averaged degree increases with the size of the graphs. Our methodology follows [6] by analyzing the eigenvector flow under Dyson Brownian motion, combining with an isotropic local law for Green’s function. As an auxiliary result, we prove that for the eigenvector flow of Dyson Brownian motion with general initial data, the eigenvectors are asymptotically jointly normal in the direction q after time η∗ t r, if in a window of size r, the initial density of states is bounded below and above down to the scale η∗, and the initial eigenvectors are delocalized in the direction q down to the scale η∗.

Properties of Sparse Random Matrices over Finite Fields

Typical properties of sparse random matrices over finite (Galois) fields are studied, in the limit of large matrices, using techniques from the physics of disordered systems. We present results for the average kernel dimension, the number of matrices for a given distribution of entries, and average dimension of the eigenvector spaces and the distribution of the eigenvalues. The significance of ...

APPLICATION OF THE RANDOM MATRIX THEORY ON THE CROSS-CORRELATION OF STOCK ‎PRICES

The analysis of cross-correlations is extensively applied for understanding of interconnections in stock markets. Variety of methods are used in order to search stock cross-correlations including the Random Matrix Theory (RMT), the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the Hierachical ‎Structures.‎ In ‎this work‎, we analyze cross-crrelations between price fluctuations of 20 ‎company ‎stocks‎...

A tight bound of the largest eigenvalue of sparse random graph

We analyze the largest eigenvalue and eigenvector for the adjacency matrices of sparse random graph. Let λ1 be the largest eigenvalue of an n-vertex graph, and v1 be its corresponding normalized eigenvector. For graphs of average degree d log n, where d is a large enough constant, we show λ1 = d log n + 1 ± o(1) and 〈1, v1〉 = √ n ( 1−Θ ( 1 logn )) . It shows a limitation of the existing method ...

Spectral Analysis of Random Sparse Matrices

We study n×n random symmetric matrices whose entries above the diagonal are iid random variables each of which takes 1 with probability p and 0 with probability 1 − p, for a given density parameter p = α/n for sufficiently large α. For a given such matrix A, we consider a matrix A′ that is obtained by removing some rows and corresponding columns with too many value 1 entries. Then for this A′, ...

Statistics of atmospheric correlations.

For a large class of quantum systems, the statistical properties of their spectrum show remarkable agreement with random matrix predictions. Recent advances show that the scope of random matrix theory is much wider. In this work, we show that the random matrix approach can be beneficially applied to a completely different classical domain, namely, to the empirical correlation matrices obtained ...
